Study 3 – Summary And Questions For Futher Study

Once a person is saved, they are saved for eternity. Everlasting life is indeed everlasting; once a
person repents of their sins and believes in Jesus Christ they possess that everlasting life and are sealed
for eternity. They are not only in God’s hand, but are part of God’s hand itself (Ephesians 5:30). For
Jesus Christ to remove a genuine believer from his body would be an act of self-mutilation. Even if you
rebelled against God and wanted to resign from being a Christian, you could not. II Timothy 2:13 says,
“If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.” Jesus would have to deny himself
(ie. his body, the church) in order to remove one of us from himself!
