God’s nature never changes – but the ways in which he deals with mankind do change. This
change in methods is most obvious in the radically different way in which God dealt with man under the
Old Testament versus the New Testament: law versus grace; the Jews versus the church, etc. As God,
the Holy Spirit is just as holy and just as loving as he was since he first appeared in the Bible in Genesis
1:2. His nature is unchangeable. However, the way in which the Spirit deals with men has been
changing throughout Scripture.
